Help make a difference
There are many ways that you can help make a difference in our music community. Our volunteers advance the Alliance’s goals and objectives. When you join us, you become part of a team where everyone’s perspectives and experiences serve a vital role in shaping the future of our regional music community.
Our Ambassador Program is made up of Area Liaisons and Genre Representatives. As an ambassador, you would be the voice of and conduit between your music community, the Alliance, and other community partners that offer resources, tools, and events for local musicians and industry professionals. Some of the ways Ambassadors do this are:
Outreach:
- Identify and get to know the musicians and industry professionals in your geographical area or genre’s community
- Let them know about the resources, tools, and events offered by the Alliance and other community partners
- Assist with the utilization of the Portal including adding their profile to the directory, adding their local shows to the calendar, updating jobs listings, learning about mentorship and consulting opportunities, sharing announcements and promotional materials, networking, and anything else that would be helpful
Research:
- Learn about the services they offer as well as discuss what their needs and challenges are to see how we may be able to help them
- Share with the Alliance and the other Ambassadors what those needs are and help provide ideas for addressing those challenges
Promotion and Recommendations:
- Keep up with current activities and announcements to contribute to our Local News section
- Share recommendations for our Spotlight series
- Let them know how they can submit their music for local playlists and events and/or attain write-ups
Team and Organization Building:
- Identify potential volunteers and/or donors
- Help to shape the future of the Alliance, its programs, and our local music community!
We could not operate without the amazing help from our team members. We are currently seeking part-time staff and volunteers to help with the following:

Fundraising, including:
- Fundraising campaign development and coordination
- Sponsorship outreach and closers
- Grant research and writing
Nonprofit Management
Bookkeeping
Benefits:
As we are made up of mostly volunteers, all ambassadors and team members are also volunteers and thus do not receive any sort of stipend. However, we do offer the following:
- Your own email account
- Your own phone extension in our phone system to share, rather than using your personal phone
- Your own Popl card – a digital business card via which you can share both your ambassador profile and your own musician/industry professional profile
- Free entry to any of our or our community partner events
- Other one-off perks as available
